The short version: we set no cookies

SmallQRCode does not set any cookies for visitors to the site. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They are commonly used for logins, preferences, analytics and advertising. Unlike data that stays in a page, cookies are sent back to the site (or its partners) on later visits, which is why they deserve their own policy.

Local storage: your theme choice

The site remembers whether you prefer the light or dark theme. This preference is stored in your browser’s local storage, which — unlike a cookie — is never transmitted to us or anyone else. You can clear it any time through your browser settings, and the site works perfectly without it.

Analytics without cookies

Our usage counters (see the Privacy Policy) record only anonymous events — such as “a Wi-Fi QR code was generated” — with no cookies, no identifiers and no cross-site tracking.

If advertising is enabled in the future

The site currently shows no ads. If advertising (for example Google AdSense) is switched on at some point, the ad provider will typically set cookies to deliver and measure ads, and personalized advertising would require your consent under applicable law. In that case:

• This page will list the specific cookies and their purposes
• A consent notice will appear before any non-essential cookies are set
• You will be able to decline personalized advertising

Managing cookies in your browser

Every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and site data — usually under Settings → Privacy. Since this site sets none, blocking all cookies will not affect it in any way.
