Terms of Service

Effective date: September 7, 2026

These terms govern your use of SmallQRCode (the “site”). By using the site you agree to them. They are intentionally short, because the service is simple: free tools that generate QR codes in your browser.

The service

SmallQRCode provides free, browser-based QR code generation tools and related educational content. No account is required. The QR codes you generate are created on your device; the site does not store them.

Your QR codes are yours

You retain all rights to the QR codes you generate and may use them freely, including commercially. We claim no ownership, add no watermark, and impose no scan limits. “QR Code” is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED; this site is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

Your responsibility to test

QR codes encode whatever content you enter — please check it. The site shows the exact encoded content before download and warns about designs that may scan poorly, but you are responsible for verifying that your printed code scans correctly before mass production. We cannot be liable for print runs, materials or outcomes based on codes generated here.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the site to:

  • Create QR codes that link to phishing, malware, scams or other harmful content
  • Encode content you have no right to distribute
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload or abuse the site or its infrastructure

We may block access that violates these terms or threatens the service.

No warranty

The site and its tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability. QR code generation depends on your browser; capability varies by device.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the site’s operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the site — including losses resulting from printed materials, mis-scanned codes, or business decisions made using the tools or content. Nothing here limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.

Availability and changes

The site may change, and tools may be added, modified or removed. One thing that will not change: the QR codes you have already generated and downloaded are static — they keep working independently of this website, whatever happens to it.
