QR code generation happens in your browser

All QR codes on this site are generated locally, by your browser, on your device. The text, links, Wi-Fi credentials, contact details or any other content you enter into a generator is processed client-side and is never transmitted to our servers. Downloads (PNG and SVG files) are likewise created entirely in your browser. We cannot see what you encode, and we have built the site so that we don’t need to.

Anonymous usage analytics

To know which tools are used and whether they work, the site sends small, anonymous event records when you generate or download a QR code — for example: “a Wi-Fi QR code was generated” or “a download failed”. These records contain:

• The event name (generated, downloaded, type selected, failed)
• Which tool was used (e.g. “Wi-Fi QR code”, or the homepage)
• The QR content type (e.g. “wifi”, “url”)
• A timestamp

They deliberately do not contain the QR code content, any URL or password you entered, cookies, advertising identifiers, or anything else that identifies you. We do not use fingerprinting and do not track you across sites.

Contact form

If you contact us through the form, we store your name, email address, chosen topic and message so that we can read and answer it. This data is used solely to handle your message and is not shared with third parties or used for marketing. To have your message deleted, contact us and we will remove it.

Cookies and local storage

This website itself sets no cookies for visitors, and the anonymous analytics described above work without cookies. We use one piece of browser local storage: your light/dark theme preference, which is stored only in your own browser and never sent anywhere. Server logs

Like virtually every website, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical request data (such as IP address, browser type, requested page and time) in server logs for security and operational purposes. These logs are kept only as long as operationally necessary and are not used to build profiles of visitors.

Advertising

The site currently displays no advertising. If advertising (for example Google AdSense) is enabled in the future, ad providers may set cookies or use device identifiers to deliver and measure ads. Should that happen, the site will show an appropriate consent notice, the Cookie Policy will describe the specific cookies involved, and the anonymous analytics described above will remain anonymous.

Data retention

Anonymous usage events are retained until deleted by the site operator (they contain no personal data, so retention poses no privacy risk to you). Contact-form messages are retained until resolved and deleted on request.

Your rights

Because we hold almost no personal data, most rights requests will simply confirm we have nothing about you. If you have contacted us, you may request a copy or deletion of your message at any time via the contact form. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; we will honor such requests to the extent they apply to the little data we hold.

Children

The site is not directed at children, and given that we collect no accounts and no personal data from visitors, we knowingly collect nothing from children either.

Changes to this policy

If the site’s data practices change, this policy will be updated and the effective date above revised. Material changes (such as enabling advertising) will be surfaced clearly on the site.
